Tibia Skill Training Formulas
Training skills in Tibia requires a certain number of successful attempts (tries) to advance. The number of tries grows exponentially with each level, making higher skills increasingly difficult to achieve.
Melee & Distance Skills
For sword, axe, club, distance, and shielding, the number of tries needed to advance from level N to N+1 is approximately:
Tries = 50 * (N - 10) ^ 1.1 For levels below 11, the tries required are minimal. As skills increase, the curve grows steeply. At a typical training rate of about 30 hits per minute, reaching high skills takes days or weeks of continuous play.
Magic Level
Magic level works differently: instead of tries, you spend mana. The mana needed to advance from level N to N+1 is approximately:
Mana = 1600 * 1.1 ^ N This exponential formula means each magic level requires about 10% more mana than the last. At roughly 10 mana spent per second (using mana-intensive spells), higher magic levels take significantly longer.
Training Tips
- Use training weapons (exercise weapons) for faster offline skill gains.
- For magic level, spam cheap mana-cost spells like "exura" to burn mana quickly.
- Shielding trains passively when monsters attack you while blocking.
- Double XP/skill events can halve your training time.
